|

This table should, hopefully, explain Colin's current position in the singles rankings. The best 18 result from the last 52 weeks (1 year) count towards a players ranking. I have arranged them from best to worst and included the next four which may come into play if results above them fall of without being replaced.
The column 'Weeks' represents the number of weeks until a result will be lost. Currently all results from 2006 are considered 'safe' and are given a faint zero.
Colin is difficult position just now. He is heavily reliant on results from last year and he is now starting to lose them.
The problem is that Colin's doubles ability is ahead singles ability. Last year he entered a lot of futures events which was great for picking up singles points but winning the the doubles event became almost routine.
This year he has concentrated on challenger events which offer a much better challenge on the doubles side but it is a lot harder to pick up singles points.

Colin not going to be able to compete in Bronx challenger qualifying due to reaching the latter stages of the doubles in Binghampton is really bad news for his ranking which will slip down to the 430s on Monday 21st August . |

I have updated the table.
Sadly Colin has lost 25 points from last year's GB no. 3 satalite and he hasn't replaced them with anything.
